Push Present

Or push presents rather.  My husband has really spoiled me this time, especially since it was a relatively easy* delivery this time (although I felt rather spoiled  last time too).

A saltwater pearl necklace that will go very well with the bracelet Peter gave me for my birthday.  Now I just need an occasion to wear them!

And one of the newest Kindles, Kindle Paperwhite, that comes with a very nice leather cover.  Perhaps now I will actually get some books read!  I welcome book recommendations!  Speaking of books, guess what book is no 1 on the top 100 books on Kindle?! "The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared" by Swede Jonas Jonasson, a book that has become very popular and has now been translated into English (and perhaps other languages?) and is also being filmed.

* Although it's never painfree or pleasant of course, except for the finale, or the end-product really :)

Push Present

Marie's post reminded me that I haven't shown you what Peter got me for pushing out our baby girl (and for Christmas; combined gift :) They go very well with my engagement and wedding rings :)

Day 12: In My Handbag

My handbag is full of the usual boring stuff - purse, phone, chewing gum, business cards, coupons for very shops, tissues, lip balm, etc. - but I won't show you any photo evidence. Instead I want to show you a very clever accessory that I always carry in my handbag: a handbag hanger! Works anywhere there is a table or counter. Mine is a freebie with Peter's company's logo on it but you can buy them from various places. The one below even has a mirror on, another must-carry for many women!

Trying to find THE ring is difficult! Have to treat ourselves to some nice Japanese food.

Show & Tell: My Blog Place & Other Stuff

This month's Show & Tell themes come from Erica and her first topic is my blog place - where, when and how do you blog.

I would say that 99% of the time, despite the fact that we have wireless, I sit in this spot when I blog. Peter and I sit with a laptop each, usually watching TV at the same time and sometimes not talking to each other for the whole evening :) I think about topics all the time but I don't always blog right away as some evenings I'm out or I don't have time or feel like blogging.

When I blog from the sofa I use this laptop tray to protect my legs from most of the heat. It's made of aluminium and in my opinion, useful as well as stylish!

Sometimes, but very seldom, I blog at the kitchen table. I never blog at work but I read blogs and comment from work sometimes, and every day I e-mail myself links to interesting articles and other stuff I read from work.

I think that sort of answers where, when and how. I also want to show another set of photos while I'm at it to cover a previous Show & Tell theme that I've missed: bags.

I bought this stylish Samsonite bag in the US last summer for a bargain (cheap dollar and massive sales). It may look a bit boring, being black and all...

But inside it has a very bright lime green colour in addition to smart sections and pockets. This evening I'm packing it full with shorts, skirts and bikinis as Peter and I are off to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands tomorrow morning!

I also want to show the beautiful necessaire (toiletry bag) from Svenskt Tenn Peter's parents gave me for Christmas (the one on the left) and the smaller makeup bag I bought in South Africa last year.

Finally I want to show the set of three little leather purses Peter got me for my birthday in January. I now keep most of the stuff I usually have in my handbag in the smaller purses so that I can switch handbags more easily. Smart, huh! However, at the moment I use the black handbag in the picture most of the time anyway.

So, as we're off to the sun tomorrow you probably won't see much of me for the next week or so. We're bringing a computer but I will try to stay away from it and read some books and magazines instead. Hasta la vista!

Show & Tell: Jewellery

Better late than never... I haven't had a chance to take photos of my own, actual jewellery, but fortunately there is the Internet. The photos are a bit small but they will have to do.

I have lots of different necklaces and earrings from different designers (Swedish Snö, Danish Pilgrim and some in similar design to Snö and Pilgrim that friends of friends have made) but most of the time I wear the following:

Camé (cameo) ring and a necklace with a cameo as well. Both in gold. I'm really a gold person even though I will wear earrings and a necklace in silver once in a while. My cameos don't look exactly like the one in the photo but you get the picture I hope :)

This image turned out really small but it's supposed to be a Bismarck ring.

I also wear a Bismarck necklace, together with the cameo one.

And last but not least, I was given a Bismarck bracelet when I was christened that I still wear to this day (well, I started wearing it as a teenager when I finally fit me and at the moment I cant wear it because I need to get the lock fixed).
