"If we say no to the Constitution to say no to the Europe we don't like, then we end up with the Europe we don't like."
Daniel Cohn-Bendit, MEP (and leader for the 1968 revolt in Paris)
It's always struck me as odd that people leave comments when they clearly don't understand the post. Why not just move on.
Besides, what makes pink female? It's just a colour that implies vulnerability and ephemerality because things in nature that are pink are fragile. Other than as a method of misdirecting male attention (Watch the pink frill, I can manipulate you better if you think I'm a silly girly-girly) it has no more of a place as a badge of feminity than any other colour.
Aphrodite's temple on Cyprus is made of pink marble. That could be another reason why pink is associated with the feminine....
To restrict one's choices according to what is 'feminine' is to restrict one's ability to embrace and internalise variety. And that makes you a less powerful woman. That's hindering your sex, not accepting it.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI really like the color of the page. More women should accept their sex and use pink as their color.
"their" color??? what about all the gay guys who love pink, not to mention perfectly heterosexual guys sporting pink ties...
ReplyDeleteNice sound bite. Could Dany Le Rouge elaborate?

I agree with Nonna and Marianne. "Accept their sex"? What does that mean?!
